We have changed the venue of the uplift day due to be on the 11th of September from Gethin to Rheola. This is to coincide with the demand for practice a week before the MIJ race at Rheola.

All riders who entered Gethin have been notified and offered a refund or transfer.

Sign on will be between 9.30am – 10.00am and the first bus will leave at 10.00am, so make sure you get on it! The buses stop uplifting at 4pm.

What we want, is Groups of about 6 people, with one trail leader. The trail leader will be in charge of the building activities and arranging the meetings. The WDMBA has insurance and permission to build on FC land so you wont see your work torn down!

The FC currently has some funding so we are hoping that we will be able to develop the tracks more.

WHY DIG???

1. Dig crews will have free entries to uplift days at their track- it’s only fair!!

2. Digging is great training and gives you a great insight into lines and how tracks run.

3. It’s really satisfying to see your work being raced by the top Elite riders, and especially to ride yourself!

4. If your doing doing DoE award it can count as an element, If your unemployed, or even if you aren’t, voluntary work looks great on your CV!

5. Just remember, building requires riding! So one of the tools you’ll need to bring is your bike! You build it, you ride it!

The WDMBA boyos.

I would like to remind everyone that accessing FC land without permission is illegal! The WDMBA has special permission to access the land and does so under very strict rules! Therefore, anyone caught with a motorised vehicle on FC ground, will have their presence reported to the police and will be banned from all associated WDMBA events!

We cannot risk loosing our right to access FC ground and therefore take these matters VERY seriously! This is a warning to those in the forrest and to anyone planing on uplifting! If those who were in the forest would like to own up then we would appreciate it, but any further incidents will be dealt with severely!
